If you need to bring your kids or other loved ones to a great place to commune with nature, look to the Daggerwing Nature Center. Daggerwind, named for the butterfly, is a 3,000 sq. ft. inside exhibit hall. It features live animals, a butterfly gallery and an art gallery. When you’ve toured the exhibit hall, venture out on the two boardwalk nature trails leading to the observation tower. On the way you may catch a glimpse of a woodpecker, osprey, butterfly, turtle or even an alligator.
Daggerwind Nature Center is located at the Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park, 11435 Park Access Road in West Boca Raton.
